The Breakdown:Based in our European Headquarters in Innsbruck, we are looking for a passionate Director of People & Culture to join our team! In this role, you will be responsible to oversee & define the strategy for all People & Culture related topics for the European organization in alignment with global priorities.
What You Get To Do:
- Lead and develop a team of People & Culture (HR) professionals responsible for employees in Austria, Germany, Switzerland, the Netherlands, and Sweden
- Shape and oversee the employee journey & experience from talent acquisition, learning & development as well as company culture
- Work in close alignment and coordination with Burton’s Global People & Culture team to establish and implement Burton’s overall P&C strategy, including the potential to provide global leadership for specific projects/initiatives
- Ensure European integration and alignment with Burton’s Global Talent and HCM (Human Capital Management) System priorities and initiatives
- Drive talent management and workforce planning tools and processes
- Administer compensation management, reward systems, benefits, and perk programs
- Ensure adherence of all administrative employment duties including payroll, employment contracts, internal policies, working time, European labor laws and yearly audits
- Oversee and manage the People & Culture budget & partner closely with the European finance team for planning & analysis
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance diversity & inclusion within the organization
- Guide the European team trough organizational design and transformation processes
- Strong passion for working with people
- 8+ years of professional experience, including 3-5 years of management experience in a similar position
- Excited by the era of new work and the possibilities it brings to teams and individuals
- Well versed with the Austrian labor law
- Strong organizational and communication skills with proficiency in English and German
- Advocate for diversity, equity and inclusion in personal and professional spheres
- Affinity for outdoor sports or a willingness to learn
