The Role

Partners Worldwide seeks a motivated and detail-oriented Project Implementation Intern to support the African Team Leader (ATL). This internship position will focus on operations and administrative support to improve processes and systems to enhance the PW value proposition as it relates to our work and collaboration with 34 Local Community Institutions in 13 African countries.

Primary Tasks and Responsibilities

Project Implementation:

  • Provide excellent project implementation and reporting support.
  • Assist in coordinating activities with the Africa staff team to ensure project success.
  • Contribute to the management of project timelines, budgets, and deliverables.

Reporting:

  • Create dashboards for visible and accessible tracking of key goals, metrics and results.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports for internal and external stakeholders, highlighting project achievements and impact.
  • Develop visually compelling presentations and documents for meetings, conferences, and presentations.

Administrative Support:

  • Reorganize and create an efficient digital filing system.
  • Manage the Africa Regional Team monthly meetings.
  • Support travel logistics and remote and physical team meetings.
  • Track the progress of and provide updates on emerging opportunities for the PW network from the Africa Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA)
  • Other tasks may be assigned from time to time.

Your Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in business, Project management, Computer Science or other closely related fields
  • Outstanding Organizational Skills
  • Excellent oral and written Communication
  • Fabulous Computer and IT skills
  • Ability to work independently to meet tight deadlines
  • Project Implementation certification or degree
  • Strong interest in international development, poverty alleviation, and economic empowerment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
