Responsibilities

Leads, develops and motivates the sales team.

  • Leads and encourage the team to deliver the standard services.
  • Ensures the Sales team works closely with Service, Parts and Administration colleagues to deliver outstanding customer’s satisfaction.
  • Establishes and monitors the team’s training requirements to ensure the required level of skill and expertise meet the requirement of the Manufacturer.
  • Implements performance management, coaches, and develops the team to continuing improve their services as well as to get a high survey response from customer.
  • Allocates resources to optimise seasonal and promotional peaks.

Drives performance to achieve key targets and deliver continuous improvement.

  • Manages day to day operations of the Sales team to ensure the achievement of key targets.
  • Sets and monitors individual and team performance against agreed new vehicle sales and profitability targets, supports and motivates team members to achieve targets.
  • Ensures the Sales team have full knowledge and understanding of product, promotional and marketing activities. Ensures team display all advertising and point of sale literature to comply with the Manufacturer standard.
  • Coordinating with all parties to manages any paint or repair work needed on for new vehicle, ensuring all vehicles meet the correct standards for sale or display.
  • Support and ensure the discount authorized given in an efficiency way.
  • Ensures timely and accurate a monthly reporting required by the Manufacturer.
  • Manages all car stock and new, ensures profit is maximised and achieves an acceptable return on stock investment.
  • Maintains the agreed annual rate of stock turnover, linking stock levels and availability to sales levels.
  • Measures departmental sales performance, credit and finance commission, outstanding debtor information weekly and takes the appropriate action to ensure targets are being met.
  • Reviews pricing policy, discounts and trade-in dealing to ensure profitability level is maintained.
  • Ensures all sales administrative systems, reports and record keeping are completed accurately and on time.
  • Continuously reviews and improves sales processes and systems to deliver increased levels of customer satisfaction while maximising profitability.
  • Measures departmental sales performance for insurance renewal and seeking for the new insurance partners to increase the choices for our customers.
  • Continuously reviews the finance interest rate for all financial bank and non-financial bank to maximize the company’s rebate and the best interest rate for our customers.

Delivers key sales operations.

  • Develops a professional working relationship with manufacturers and other dealers.
  • Formulates and implements marketing plans for new car launches.
  • Monitors the cleanliness of the showroom and any other sales related areas.
  • Improves customer satisfaction by developing and implementing strategy with the Sales team.
  • Assists Dealer Principal in managing and ordering new vehicle stock.

Works as a full member of the Dealership team

  • Assists the Dealer Principal to formulate new strategy and policy.
  • Works with colleagues and other teams across the Dealership to deliver improvements and provide a seamless service to customers, ensuring that customers are introduced to the Service team.
  • Works with colleagues across the Dealership to investigate and resolve customer complaints.
  • Uses feedback to improve skills and performance of self and the Service team.
  • Understands and follows relevant Manufacturer Operational Guidelines.
  • Ensures the Sales team adheres to legal, environmental and health and safety requirements, ensuring the safety and security of people, vehicles and property at all times, reporting any known faults and hazards.

Other duties

Any other duties as and when required by senior company managers that are reasonably within the capabilities of the person and are aimed at achieving the company’s objectives and goals.


Qualification

  • At least 5 years’ experience in supervisory level (automotive sales)
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
  • Good English (reading, writing, and speaking)
  • Sales coaching and motivating skill
