Vestas Power Solution is where new ideas are developed for the wind power systems of the future. As a part of Vestas Power Solutions, Turbine release management is responsible for integrating, testing, and delivering software to the entire Vestas turbine fleet. We´re also responsible for the infrastructure servers and toolchain used to develop and test the software. The department consist of 30 engineers within SRE, DevOps, Integration, test, and release areas. We´re represented in DK and Porto. We have a very informal approach in this department and use each other often to discuss and solve issues. Hence, an open mind to engage in discussions is part of this department.

Our expert software development team utilizes a variety of technologies including Python, Groovy, Bash and PowerShell, also containerization tools like Kubernetes and Docker. We also exploit Atlassian suite for team collaboration, Jenkins for continuous integration, GIT, Azure DevOps and many more advanced technologies. In short there are great learning opportunities for a tech enthusiast!
Currently, we are looking for a part-time working student to support and collaborate with regional technical team on daily tasks and opportunities (minimum 15h-20h per week).
Responsibilities
In your role as student worker, you will be involved in a range of technical tasks within the department:
- Improving and developing our Groovy and Python-based CI/CD pipeline to provide fast and useful
- Feedback to our 300 turbine software developers
- Ensuring efficient, automated testing both in PC environments and on turbine hardware, contributing to the overall quality of our software products
- Analyzing and troubleshooting issues in our automated build and test environment and implementing solutions using best practices
- Investigate new technologies and tools to continuously enhance our CI/CD setup and DevOps practices
Qualification
The ideal candidate is enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree preferably within software development.
Furthermore, we expect the candidate to have:
- You have a technical education and desire to become proficient in planning and coordinating
- You possess fluent English communication skills both oral and in written
- Experience with high-paced cross-functional and cross-cultural teams is beneficial

The primary work location will be in Aarhus, Denmark.
You can expect to be working around 15-20 hours per week – however, we will accommodate to the academic schedule.
