Testaro Mobile Health is seeking to recruit an ambitious, talented, goal driven and self-motivated individual to fulfil the role of a phlebotomist. The successful candidate will promote and deliver quality patient care and wellness in accordance with industry standards. Candidates must be able to work efficiently and in the most effective manner, always ensuring patient safety. Provide a positive experience while producing a good sample for testing. May be asked to intake patient questions, assist with result communication and simple delivery.
· Taking blood samples from patients and adequately labelling them with their information.
- Observes the physical condition of patients during blood taking, applies sound phlebotomy practices in order to ensure safety and comfort.
- Pre-and post-test counselling of parents / guardians and children of various ages according to current South African legislation guidelines.
- Performs and interprets point of care tests as required.
- Keeps records of specimen collected to ensures that all patients details, and clinical information is accurately recorded and interprets test results in the context of the child’s clinical condition.
- Explaining blood draw procedures to patients and answering any questions about the process
- Following all health and safety protocols and procedures to maintain sanitary work areas
- Theoretical and practical training of other healthcare workers in order to render this service.
- Report writing to document the service and identity successes and failures.
- Participates in operational research to inform best practices.
- Provides general nursing and phlebotomy services as required.
- Implements sound housekeeping procedures to ensure a safe working environment in accordance with legislation and all safety protocols are adhered to.

Salary: R10,500.00 - R12,500.00 per month
