HOW YOU WILL IMPACT OUR MISSION
The Design Production Specialist works collaboratively with internal customers to coordinate project specifications, traffic print and digital assignments and works with approved vendors to ensure that jobs are completed and delivered on time and within budget. This position reports to the Senior Project Manager.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Prioritizes projects and organize workflows for all incoming jobs. Coordinates and tracks production requests from initiation through delivery. Monitors workflows and deadlines via project management system.
- Collaborates with project leads, designers, communications and external vendors from kickoff through completion.
- Works with internal customers to determine project needs, specifications and timing.
- Contacts and receives bids from vendors as needed. Ensures vendor quotes are thorough and accurate.
- Tracks project related costs, receives appropriate approvals and submits billing. Provides cost analysis if production requests are requested.
- Coordinates printing and mailing of production timelines.
- Routes proofing of all assets to ensure appropriate parties approve final product.
- Maintains inventory of related print material, digital, and physical archives for images, art files, and completed work.

- JOB EXPERIENCE
- Three or more years print production experience in layout, print and digital design, coordinating printing and mailing projects or equivalent experience required.
- Copy writing and photography experience preferred.
- EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS
- Current valid California Driver’s License in good standing
- SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
- Must have knowledge of postal regulations, color and print processes.
- Prior knowledge of mailing house systems.
- Able to prioritize multiple time sensitive projects with competing deadlines.
- Able to articulate and communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Able to adapt to change and work within timelines and deadlines.
- Able to use project management and graphic programs such as illustrator, In Design, Photoshop and other spreadsheet and data base systems.
- Able to operate office equipment.
- Able to track project costs using basic mathematical skills.
- Able to work effectively with diverse teams.
